The air under the grandiose domed roof and in front of the splendid emblem is filled with songs of praise. This is not a scene from Harry Potter – it is Harrow’s momentous 450th anniversary ceremony, marking the start of our worldwide celebrations. And you don’t want to miss these highlights…
Countless legends throughout history have graced the spectacular hall of St. Paul’s Cathedral, a centuries-old landmark in England. Its walls once echoed the speech by Dr Martin Luther King and the thunderous applause amidst the majestic wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Here at this extraordinary building, the Harrow School commenced its year-long celebration for its 450th anniversary.
The ceremony was honoured by prominent guests, Harrow School’s Headmaster Mr Alastair Land, and school board members. Representatives from AISL Harrow Schools and teachers and alumni from around the world also gathered under the domed roof to witness the special moment.
We might not be there, but the sacred spirit the ceremony signifies is passed onto every member of the Harrow family.
