“I ask questions to my teachers whenever I have one, until I can’t come up with any more.”
Over the years, I have benefitted from invaluable guidance, resources, and encouragement that have greatly contributed to my academic growth. For example, when I chose to pursue Biology a month later than my peer, my teacher organised a month of intensive catch-up lessons during lunchtime to ensure I was up to the pace. This tailored support not only strengthened my understanding of the material, but also fostered my dedication to learning and significantly boosted my confidence.
“Among all the Harrow Values, ‘Courage’ had the greatest impact on me, because it spurred me to continuously step out of my comfort zone.”
From the introverted girl trembling as I held my script to deliver a speech, I have transformed into a confident candidate for school leadership roles, actively challenging myself to step out of my comfort zone.
I have become an eloquent speaker and was proudly served as a house captain for several years. In addition to building my confidence, I have reached new heights in various areas, including achieving 7 A*s in IGCSE, becoming a student editor, exploring my passion for art, and ranking among the top three fencers in Chongqing.

“We are a big family. I always keep in mind the value of “Fellowship”.
In my journey of taking on leadership roles and being recognised by my peers as a caring leader, my secret to success has not been about “fighting for the top spot”, but rather about believing in collaboration with my team in the spirit of “Fellowship”. Together, we move forward and upward together.
The support from my teachers and the relationships I have built with my classmates have deepened my love for Harrow, allowing me to embrace learning naturally and achieve excellent results.
At AISL Harrow, academic excellence is just one part of our holistic education. We focus on shaping our students into confident, passionate individuals ready to make a difference both inside and outside the classroom.
