“I once struggled to pass my exams and was quite reserved.”
When I first joined Harrow Beijing, I had little understanding of what studying truly entailed. In my first physics test, I achieved a mere 40%. However, through the inspirations from my physics and maths teacher, I was inspired by effective study techniques and introduced to the fascinating complexities of science. Within just two months, I elevated my grades from 40% to 80%. At the end, I secured all As in my A Levels.
“The supportiveness and welcomeness at Harrow gave me confidence to take on leadership roles.”
As my academic performance improved and being involved in extracurricular activities, I became more confident and had the courage to take on leadership roles at school.
Since graduating, I have persistently sought out various opportunities, such as being the golf captain at Cambridge University. Now, as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Model United Nations at UNITAR, I am dedicated to organising a variety of student activities that inspire future leaders to make a difference in the world.

“Believe in yourself, believe in the process and be proud to be an International Harrovian”
Without hesitation, I would choose Harrow, as it has been instrumental in helping me discover my true self. It has enabled me to forge meaningful connections with my peers, boosted my confidence, and nurtured leadership qualities that I will carry with me for a lifetime.
Ryan’s story reminds us that excellence fosters transformation—not just in ourselves, but uplifting our community and society at large.
At Harrow, we are dedicated to nurturing every future leader to continually challenge themselves, helping them achieve extraordinary success.
