AISL Harrow Food Project — Pioneering a New Era of Food Education: Where Health Meets Flavour

The quality and nutritional value of school meals have become a growing priority for both parents and society. As a pioneer in the education sector, Asia International School Limited (AISL) has officially launched its first-of-its-kind, student-centric initiative—the AISL Harrow Food Project—across five campuses in Mainland China. This initiative embodies the group’s commitment to excellence, consistently upholding the same high standards in both education and school dining.

By integrating scientifically balanced meals, sustainable local ingredients, and globally inspired cultural fusion, the AISL Harrow Food Project meets parents’ and students’ expectations for flavour, nutrition, and variety. It provides a robust nutritional foundation to support students’ growth, unlock their full potential, foster cultural exchange, and promote sustainable lifestyles. Every plate serves a greater purpose, setting a bold new standard for school dining.

Debuts Across Five Campuses with Interactive Tasting Experiences

As the new academic year begins, the AISL Harrow Food Project has been successfully rolled out across five campuses: AISL Harrow Shanghai, Harrow International School Shenzhen Qianhai, AISL Harrow Beijing, AISL Harrow Haikou, and AISL Harrow Nanning. To celebrate its launch, each school hosted a unique tasting event, welcoming over 500 parents, students, staff, and guests to experience the exquisite new dishes.

The new AISL Harrow Menu features 20 exclusive dishes, meticulously crafted in collaboration with renowned international culinary consultant Paul Yen. Designed to elevate the AISL Harrow dining experience, these dishes are authentically healthy, diverse, high-quality, and delicious.

Nurturing Global Perspective & Creating Shared Memories

As the first education group to implement a comprehensive dining enhancement initiative, AISL Harrow aims to create cherished dining memories for all students as they grow. Beyond prioritising nutrition and food safety, AISL aspires to make mealtimes moments of joy and connection, fostering lifelong healthy eating habits.

Ms Valerie Chiu, Director of AISL Group, shared the inspiration behind the food project, “Healthy eating is a vital cornerstone for empowering students’ holistic development. By using natural ingredients and reducing refined sugar and processed components, we can help students build a balanced nutritional foundation, which significantly enhances focus and learning efficiency.” She further noted “Dining is also a medium for cultural understanding and value education. Every plate reflects our dedication to ecological responsibility, global awareness, and nurturing leadership qualities in our students.”

Family-School Collaboration: Building a Sustainable and Inclusive Food Education

To ensure consistency and sustainability in the quality of meals across all campuses, AISL Group has established a systematic training and review mechanism for suppliers, alongside the creation of standardised training videos. These measures support the effective implementation of a “high-standard food education system.” Moving forward, the programme will introduce more Asian dishes and adopt a collaborative “family-school” approach, inviting student, parents, and teachers to propose and review new menu ideas. The most inspiring suggestions may even be featured in the AISL Harrow Menu.

The AISL Harrow Food Project will gradually be rolled out across all AISL Harrow schools, continuing to enhance students’ dining experiences. At AISL Harrow, education transcends the classroom and extends to the dining table. Food is not only a universal language but also a powerful medium for connection and inspiration. By bringing together all the excellent elements on the plate, AISL Harrow schools create daily moments of joy, using food as a bridge to foster meaningful connections and unlock the limitless potential of every student.
