Harrow International School Guangzhou (AISL Harrow Guangzhou), the 15th Harrow-branded school in Asia operated by Asia International School Limited (AISL), celebrated a major milestone with its official launch ceremony, paving the way for its opening in September 2026. Located in the innovation heartland of Huangpu District, the new school is set to become a flagship institution in the Greater Bay Area for future-focused international education that emphasises digital literacy, innovation and entrepreneurship.
The launch event brought together government officials, industry leaders, education experts, members of the Harrow Family of Schools and parents in a shared celebration of what promises to be a transformative educational journey for future global leaders.

Dr Rosanna Wong, DBE, JP, Chairman of AISL, shared the founding vision at the launch event: “Our goal is to create a future-ready school that nurtures pioneering talent for the innovation era.”

Building on 450 years of Harrow’s heritage and core values, the school integrates AISL’s forward-looking vision for education with the thriving innovation and technology ecosystem of Guangzhou’s Huangpu District. In addition to fostering full English fluency and offering an extended and accelerated mathematics curriculum, the school places a strong focus on cultivating three essential future competencies: digital literacy, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The flagship AISL FutureLab, launching at Harrow Guangzhou, is a state-of-the-art technology innovation lab designed to seamlessly integrate with the curriculum and equipped with cutting-edge technologies. In collaboration with the AISL Entrepreneurship Centre, the school provides students with a comprehensive, hands-on innovation and entrepreneurial learning journey. From ideation to implementation, students will have the opportunity to collaborate, design, build, develop, market, and sell their ideas, fostering real-world skills and creativity.

Established through a nearly 30-year partnership between AISL and Harrow School, Mr Alastair Land, Head Master of Harrow School in the UK, travelled from London to present the commemorative Harrow Seal to Mr Alex Reed, symbolising the continuation of Harrow’s distinguished legacy. He reaffirmed Harrow’s comprehensive support for the new school through faculty development, educational quality, global exchange opportunities, and the Harrow alumni network.
School heads from all AISL Harrow schools in the Greater Bay Area also gathered to extend their congratulations, showcasing the close collaboration across six sister schools in the region.
